LAKE FOREST, California – January, 2004 - iPayables, provider of Internet Invoicing tools for Fortune 1000 companies and their suppliers, announced a third party processing agreement with American Express.
The agreement allows iPayables to submit data directly to American Express for authorization and settlement of American Express card transactions. While American Express offers this capability to a limited number of entities, iPayables application of the capability is something new to the marketplace.
Customers of iPayables are now able to pay electronic invoices with their American Express Corporate Card automatically without sharing the card information with the supplier. This allows iPayables clients to approve payments in an invoice approval process before the card transaction takes place ensuring higher protections against fraud. The supplier benefits from quicker payment and does not need to purchase any equipment such as card swipe or point of sale systems since the transactions occur automatically.
iPayables, Inc. is headquartered in Lake Forest, California. Information can be obtained at www.ipayables.com or by contacting the main offices at (866) 874-7932. iPayables processes invoices for customers in 147 countries worldwide.
